Topic: "The
Beauty of Change"
"Take a good
look at God's wonders--- they'll take your breath away." Psalm 66:5
"You set the
limits of the earth; you made summer and winter." Psalm 74:17
Story:
Almost everyone loves summer, but sometimes
you can't see winter's graces at first glance. Ice or slush may mask the grace
of skeletal trees that dot the landscape and thin grass that clings to the
hard-packed earth. Yes, even in the stark lines of winter, you can see the work
of a skillful artist-- God, who designed beauty to by dynamic, to renew itself
in change.
The seasons are perhaps nature's best example
of this. You watch summer's bright greens give away to fall's warmer palette,
then fade into winter's gray and white. Just when you long for the sight of
green again, spring comes, bringing once more the buds of change and new life.
God must have known you would need visuals to remind you of His purpose of
beauty in change.
Prayer:
Dear God,
Thank You for the
changes in my life. May I receive them as Your way of growing me into what You
want me to be. Thank You Jesus. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.
